Replacing lost or faulty keyfobs
Keyfobs are needed to access the logging equipment used on Southern Water sites. You can only order new or replacement fobs using the application form. You should allow 10 working days for the receipt of new and replacement fobs.
There will be a £40 charge for replacement fobs, including lost ones. A replacement fob will render the old one invalid. Lost fobs will be rendered invalid as well, but you should return it to Southern Water if found.
If you lose a fob or change a vehicle, let us know as soon as possible. Please also confirm this in writing using the normal contact details.
If your fob is faulty, you must return it to Southern Water within three weeks of ordering a replacement fob. We will then send away to test the fault. Replacements will be charged for at the normal rate of £40, unless testing proves that the user has not caused the fault.
If you misplace a fob and someone else uses it, there's no way for us to know who is accessing our waste disposal sites. It's for this reason that the fobs are the responsibility of individual companies and we have to charge for any transactions on them.
